General Info

Koh Rok is the Mu Ko Lanta National Park for 25 islands, divided into 4 groups: the five island, Koh Rok, Koh Lanta and Koh Ngai. Koh Haa and Koh Rok usually group together on diving islands at the same time

Koh Rok of the five islands, Koh Rok Noi and Koh Rok Yai (Some are also called Koh Rok Nok and Koh Rok Nai) is the driver of the white drive, clear frequency and concentration. Ideal for diving deep into the water and scuba diving.

    The best time to dive at Koh Rok is from November to April. During this time, the weather is dry and sunny, and the seas are calm. However, the islands can be crowded during this time, so it is best to book your trip in advance.

    It is famous for being a rich coral field. Suitable for both scuba diving and snorkeling. There is an easy chance of encountering a shark. There are also many sea turtles, stingrays, squid, and sea slugs. to many types of coral reef fish. 

    As for the water channel between Koh Rok Noi and Koh Rok Yai, it is an interesting muck dive spot for macro lovers.

    There is also a chance to encounter Harlequin Shrimp, various species of Sea Slugs, Leopard Sharks, Hawksbill Turtles, Squid, Seamoth Fish, Frogfish, Ghost Pipefish, Seahorses, Lion Fish, and if you're lucky, there's even a chance of a Whale Shark or Manta Ray.

Go There

Traveling to Trang Province There are many ways to do it. including cars, vans, buses, trains, and airplanes. If coming by van or tour bus You can choose to get off at a stop that is close to the desired port. If coming by train, you can get off at several large stations such as Trang Station and Kantang Station before connecting to the various ports. Currently there are flights from Bangkok. Fly directly to Trang Province. It takes approximately 1 hour 25 minutes and from Trang Airport. There will be vans, minibuses and taxis into the city. Choose to continue your journey.

  • Airplane: Get off at Trang Airport. There are many airlines providing service.
  • Car: Travel from Bangkok It takes about 8-9 hours. The distance is approximately 750 kilometers. The most convenient route is Take Highway 4 (Petchkasem Road) through Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Ranong, Phang Nga until Trang Province.
  • Public buses: There are many companies providing services. It takes about 10-12 hours.


Koh Rok is located about 25 kilometers from Koh Lanta. There are a number of dive centers and tour operators that offer trips to the islands from Koh Lanta. The boat ride to Koh Rok takes about 1-2 hours.

Traveling to Koh Rok This can be done in several ways as follows:

1. From Koh Lanta

  • It is the most convenient and fastest way. Travel time is approximately 1-2 hours.

2. From Laemtong Pier

  • Travel time is approximately 2-3 hours.

3. From Phi Phi Island

  • Travel time is approximately 3-4 hours.

4. From Krabi Province

  • It takes approximately 2-3 hours to travel to Laem Tong Pier first.
  • From Laemtong Pier You can travel to Koh Rok using method 2.

5. From Trang Province

  • It takes approximately 3-4 hours to travel to Pak Meng Pier first.
  • From Pak Meng Pier You can charter a boat to go to Koh Rok.
